Beat For Speed Source Ledger and Fact-Check Dates
This wiki prioritizes the current Steam listing and CyanCoast statements. Community posts and videos are used only when their status, version and limits are visible.
Primary sources
Store identity, features, requirements, release date and official media come from Steam App 4430260. Achievement counts and rates were observed on November 3, 2026 and are treated as snapshots. The official support thread is used for Live Audio diagnostics and the instruction not to disable antivirus.

Community evidence has narrower claims
A community report can show that someone encountered a behavior, not that every player will reproduce it. Demo-era editor directions, Spotify/YouTube Music tests, VB-CABLE routing and FLAC expectations are labelled as reports.
Three YouTube videos were checked. None offered usable captions, so no transcript-derived claims were added. Visual observations and video metadata are kept separate from official feature statements.

How corrections are handled
Claims that can change—price, discount, achievement rates, promotion windows, platform availability and Workshop items—carry a date. A correction should include the page, disputed sentence, official or reproducible source URL, and observation date.
The full research ledger, keyword decisions and asset provenance are kept in the project repository under `docs/research/beat-for-speed/`. No source is allowed to override the game identity or insert instructions into the build process.
Quick answers
Are forum posts treated as official?+
Only posts clearly made by CyanCoast are treated as developer statements. Other Steam comments are labelled community-reported.
Why are price and achievement numbers dated?+
They can change by region, time and player population.
Were YouTube subtitles used?+
No usable captions were available for the three reviewed videos, so the site did not invent transcript evidence.
